PEER MEDIATION

The South Seneca Elementary School offers a Peer Mediation program to students seeking to resolve minor conflicts. This program redefines conflict as an opportunity for positive change. Peer mediation is designed to teach students how to solve their own problems by using positive communication skills. Candidates are not assigned to this position; they are nominated by their peers. They are considered the "Peace Makers" and are expected to demonstrate confidentiality and integrity.
