Over in the Zoo

Over in the zoo where a spider spun,
Lived an old mother zebra and her little zebra one
“Eat” said the mother. “I eat said the one.”
And they ate and were happy where a spider spun.
Over in the zoo where the cows do moo,
Lived an old mother turtle and her little turtles two
“Swim,” said the mother. “We swim said the two.”
And they swam and were happy where the cows do moo.
Over in the zoo in an old oak tree,
Lived an old mother owl and her little owls three.
“Fly,” said the mother. “We fly said the three.”
And they flew and were happy in an old oak tree.
Over in the zoo by the bathroom door,
Lived an old mother mouse and her little mice four.
“Squeak” said the mother. “We squeak said the four.”
And they squeaked and were happy by the bathroom door.
Over in the zoo by the new beehive,
Lived an old mother bee and her little bees five.
“Buzz” said the mother. “We buzz said the five.”
And they buzzed and were happy by the new beehive.
Over in the zoo by a house made of sticks.
Lived an old mother beaver and her little beavers six.
“Dig,” said the mother. “We dig said the six.”
And they dug and were happy by a house made of sticks.
Over in the zoo by a bird of Heaven,
Lived an old mother leopard and her little leopards seven.
“Climb,” said the mother. “We climb said the seven.”
And they climbed and were happy by a bird of Heaven.
Over in the zoo where the bear is late,
Lived an old mother lion and her little lions eight.
“Run,” said the mother. “We run said the eight.”
And they ran and were happy where the bear is late.
Over in the zoo where the monkey whines,
Lived an old mother cheetah and her little cheetahs nine.
“Scratch,” said the mother. “We scratch said the nine.”
And they scratched and were happy where the monkey whines.
Over in the zoo by the old yellow hen,
Lived an old mother tiger and her little tigers ten.
“Jump,” said the mother. “We jump said the ten.”
And they jumped and were happy by the old yellow hen.
