Over in the Jungle

Over in the jungle where the elephants have fun,
Lived an old mother snake and her little snake one
“Squirm,” said the mother. “I squirm said the one.”
And they squirmed and were happy where the elephants have fun.
Over in the jungle where the sky is blue,
Lived an old mother owl and her little owls two
“Hoot,” said the mother. “We hoot said the two.”
And they hooted and were happy where the sky is blue.
Over in the jungle in an old apple tree,
Lived an old mother squirrel and her little squirrels three.
“Eat,” said the mother. “We eat said the three.”
And they ate and were happy in an old apple tree.
Over in the jungle where the groundhog bores,
Lived an old mother tiger and her little tigers four.
“Growl” said the mother. “We growl said the four.”
And they growled and were happy where the groundhog bores.
Over in the jungle where the alligators dive,
Lived an old mother turtle and her little turtles five.
“Snap,” said the mother. “We snap said the five.”
And they snapped and were happy where the alligators dive.
Over in the jungle by a bridge made of sticks.
Lived an old mother lion and her little lions six.
“Roar,” said the mother. “We roar said the six.”
And they roared and were happy by a bridge made of sticks.
Over in the jungle by a tree of Heaven,
Lived an old mother bear and her little bears seven.
“Scratch,” said the mother. “We scratch said the seven.”
And they scratched and were happy by a tree of Heaven.
Over in the jungle where nobody hates,
Lived an old mother gorilla and her little gorillas eight.
“Jump,” said the mother. “We jump said the eight.”
And they jumped and were happy where nobody hates.
Over in the jungle by a small green pine,
Lived an old mother peacock and her little peacocks nine.
“Strut,” said the mother. “We strut said the nine.”
And they strutted and were happy by a small green pine.
Over in the jungle by the short red hen,
Lived an old mother horse and her little horses ten.
“Neigh,” said the mother. “We neigh said the ten.”
And they neighed and were happy by the short red hen.
