Book Adventure

Accounts have been created for all second and third graders at South Seneca to use this website.  All third grade teachers are encouraging their students to read books for which tests are available, and they are giving students certificates for attaining designated point levels.  Second graders are beginning to use the program at their teachers' discretion.

Library staff has been working to label the books that we have for which "BA" tests are available.  We have identified and labeled hundreds of books, but the work continues.  Please feel free to use the Book Finder feature on the Book Adventure website to see if a test is available for your favorite books, and if you discover a title that we should have labeled, please let us know.

Here is the procedure for using the Book Finder to see if your book is listed:

•     Go to www.bookadventure.com
•     Choose "Kids Zone" (lower left of screen)
•     Choose "Book Finder"
•     Choose "Search by Author or Title" (top right of screen)
•     Search the author or title you would like to check.  You do not have to enter entire titles - major keywords are sufficient.

Here is the procedure for taking a quiz on the website:

• Log in to the website using the username and password we have created for you.  You can get this from your teacher or from library staff.
• Be sure to click on the top green "go" button that is just under the box where you type your password.
• Choose "Quiz-O-Matic"
• Enter the title of the book you read.
• Click "Submit"
• Take the quiz.
